Adventures of Motherhood

I am a harried mother of three kids who move at light speed and a husband who lives in a world of words. If that isn't enough, I teach in an elementary school as I slowly watch my hair turn gray.

Thank you!

Thank you for all your encouraging words. I know he's milking it for all it's worth, but I can't always tell when he really needs me and when he's milking it.

It helps that he tells me over and over how much he appreciates my help. He's really a good kid.

Like Kenju, I really need a nap but here I am on my computer! :-)

I am also a worrier (Can you tell?!) and now that we are getting closer to Monday and school, I worry about how he will manage.

I know he'll be fine...kids are so resilient, it's the mommies and daddies who aren't!

Thanks for visiting me and I'll keep you all posted!

You know, Monday, and perhaps a few days after that, he is going to be fine: he'll be dining on this story for at least a couple of day. But once everyone starts to remember that he's just Zach, and not special-broken-leg-man, he will probably feel very down about everything, and you know, then he is going to really need you!

Michele sent me to say this,
N.

WOW! A broken leg, a double-digit birthday for your daughter, and a monumental birthday for you - what a week! And I thought my life was changing big-time (lol). Here's the best news - your 40's are truly fabulous. There is a comfortableness with who you are and where you are in your life that extends to all areas and is incredibly enriching. You are in for a great decade. Michele and I send congratulations for the birthdays, and swift healing for the leg - plus lots and lots of catch-up sleep :-)

He looks so much like Carmi!! He'll be fine, I'm sure. You? I don't know about. Get some sleep (and I am going to bed right now)!!

P.S. Dara is right about the 40's. The old saying that life begins at 40 is true. Mine started at 42, and I have loved it ever since!

Kids are like that. They kind of exploit the situation.

So did I when I dislocated my right elbow last year. Me in my late 30s and a teacher...!!!

Glad michele sent me here again.

:D

I've read about Zack's break over at Carmi's blog. May the two of you be filled with energy and Zack with quick healing to get through all this.

Morah not only will he be fine...there will be other kids who will be jealous. Don't forget in Kid World there isn't much that is cooler than a green cast!
